Over a decade of partnership

Figurenotes has partnered with BBC Ten Pieces since the launch of their incredible music education programme over a decade ago.

Accessibility within the project has grown each year and we’re delighted to be part of this brilliant free resource. Explore what is on offer below.

Free resources are available for all BBC Ten Pieces lists. The latest resources are the most comprehensive, so be sure to check out ‘Grasswalk’ and ‘Magic’.

You can access videos, scores, worksheets, activities, and much more through the BBC Ten Pieces website.

Flexible Ensembles

The latest list features arrangements for ‘open ensembles’ with flexible instrumentation.

These include parts for digital instruments, such as Clarion and Thumbjam, both of which have Figurenotes built in.

You’ll find scores in all stages of Figurenotes notation. See Progression for more details on the different stages of Figurenotes notation.

Webinar

To celebrate over a decade of collaboration, we recorded a webinar with the BBC Ten Pieces team.

We explore the most recent list and resources, take a peek at some older ones, and explain how to use them. There is also an overview of both Figurenotes and the BBC Ten Pieces project.
